'The Avonside Engine Co. Bristol', 4-6-0 locomotive, no. 13--, works grey, Avonside works, Bristol, UK, 1898.
This does not seem to be one of the Australian locomotive classes, but simply a standard works shot of a finished locomotive. The year is clearly 1898, being visible on the builder's plate on the side of the cab.
If the Avonside records still exist it may be possible to find out which customer this locomotive was built for.
