"Fig'. 109. Ore Transportation.
Tramway feeding the central mill with ore from the Northern Mines at Lawlers (85 miles distant from the Government Railway system, and 633 miles from Fremantle)."
This was part of the operation of the East Murchison United mining company works based at Leinster in Western Australia. The locomotive appears to be Krauss Builders number 2181, a 2 foot (610 mm) gauge 30hp 0-4-0WT built in 1889.
