Kalingo Colliery No. 530x, 0-6-0ST locomotive, ex-NSWGR, Ellalong, [c. 1960]
Digitally enhancing the exposure (see image 2 of 2) allows more detail to become visible.
The engine number is NSWGR "duplicate stock", indicating an obsolete unit that has been removed from the main roster.
It is a pre-1924 number, as in that year all units previously given an X suffix were re-numbered as part of the catch-all X10 class, which gave engine numbers beginning with "10".
This locomotive apears to have been sold to Kalingo Colliery sometime between 1890 and 1924.
Kalingo Colliery began as an underground mine in 1921 and ceased operations in 1961.
At the right edge of this image it is just possible to see the rear of a 0-6-4T locomotive (see ARHSBox143_3407).
