Victorian Railways A2 class locomotive, no. 830, unidentified location, 1907 or later
This locomotive would have been built between 1907 and 1915. Another image of an A2 can be found at https://livinghistories.newcastle.edu.au/nodes/view/88782
The differences at the front of the two locomotives are due to the different valve gear. No. 830 has the older combination of Stephenson valve gear and slide valves, while the unidentifed locomotive in the linked image has the later Walschaerts valve gear and piston valves.
