She was built in 1893 as the Royal Forth, and was at that time the largest 4-masted barque in the world. She was sold to German owners in 1900 and renamed Henriette. So this photo would have been taken some time between 1900 and 1914 when she was interned in South America. Indications are that she called at Newcastle in 1906, 1910, 1912 and 1914.
