    By: Mori Flapan5th Sep 2020 11:33PMThe ss Adelong collided with ss Perthshire off Nobby's Head, Newcastle on 2 July 1938. Adelong (shown) was badly damaged but luckily was towed back to port and subsequently repaired. This photo shows the damaged Adelong at the berth in Newcastle.
    By: Mori Flapan27th Aug 2020 12:34AMOn 2 July 1938 the ss Adelong was departing Newcastle for Adelaide when she collided with ss Perthshire off Nobby's at Newcastle, hull cut down just aft of forepeak on the starboard side to just the waterline, saved by a watertight bulkhead that held, no injuries.
