Red Ribbon Day
The Red Ribbon is a symbol of solidarity for those diagnosed with HIV and for those who have passed away due to AIDs.
Below are photographs taken on World AIDs Day, 1 December, 2001 as a group unfurled a "red ribbon" on Newcastle Beach. For more information about A.C.O.N and World AIDs Day, you can visit the oral histories of Wez Saunders and Robert Pearson.
