InformationAn artwork by Newcastle artist and historian Terry Callen, depicting the warship HMAS Melbourne rescuing the crew of the schooner 'Helen B Sterling'. The Sterling had departed from Newcastle bound for America when she began to sink north of New Zealand, her 18 crew being saved by the HMAS Melbourne.
