The original panoramic photograph is 1.8 mtrs in length and assessed as historically significant and believed to be the only one of its type in a public collection.

In March 2026 to photograph was digitised at University Libraries Special Collections and Archives, courtesy of the Newcastle Maritime Museum Society Inc. The original is held by the Newcastle Maritime Museum, and have been scanned with their kind permission.
