This image was scanned from a photo in the personal papers of Lieutenant Colonel Brent B. Rodd of Newcastle, NSW, Australia, held by Special Collections in the University of Newcastle Library, NSW, Australia. It is from a collection by Lt. Col. Rodd, who served as a Major in the A.I.F. during World War I. He served with distinction, being wounded at the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux in 1918. His efforts are mentioned in Bean's official history of World War 1.

UON Library, University of Newcastle, Australia: A Moment In Time (Newcastle Herald H2 January 28th 2012): Alison Anderson emailed the Herald about the January 28 Moment in Time showing a picnic of South British Insurance staff. ''In the second row from the front, next to the man squatting on the left, the lady with the dark hat decorated with a feather is my great-grandmother Pearl Forrester,'' she wrote. ''Next to her is her daughter, my great-aunt, Eileen Forrester, who is wearing the round spectacles and has a bow in her hair. ''Eileen worked for South British Insurance when she left school at 15 as a junior office girl and eventually rose to be private secretary to the boss. ''According to my mother she was an excellent typist, speller and very good at shorthand dictation. ''Eileen was born in 1911 and we estimate this photo may have been taken around 1930/31.''
