IN connection with the aggregate meeting to be held in the Lambton Park to-morrow morning to dlscuss the mining situation, a circular has been issued to the miners of the district, signed by the officers of the Miners' Association, as follows: "We are requested by the delegates of the Amalgamated Miners' Association to remind you that it has been resolved to hold an aggregate meeting of miners in the Lambton Park on Saturday, 29th instant, to consider the ad- visability of seeking an advance in the hewing rates. --- With the full knowledge of the action of the proprietors for the past two years, and what is still now before you at Lambton and elsewhere, the questions for you to think out are "'Do you think the time has arrived when an attempt should be made to obtain an advance in wages ? An Unanimous Meeting. An aggregate meeting of the miners of the Newcastle district was held at Lambton Park on Saturday, for the purpose of considering the present condition of the coal trade as it affected them. The president of the Miners Association (Mr. Adam Cook) controlled the meeting, which was attended by about 2000 people.
