The text was: "Australian Poetry Overseas Dr Jean Talbot and associate professor Norman Talbot reading a selection of the poetry they will be presenting, over a series of evenings, to the people of Newcastle-upon Tyne, as part of the City's Australia Week Celebrations in July. The reading was conducted by the English Society in the Union." This image was scanned from a photograph in the University's historical photographic collection held by Special Collections.
