SummaryKevin talks about growing up in Newcastle as a young man and working as an apprentice at the Civic Railway Workshops. He met Keith Robinson, then a prominent businessman and they began a clandestine love affair. In 1952 the police began a witchhunt of the city's homosexuals which resulted in gaol sentences, bonds for some and others fleeing the city. Keith was charged but he fought the case and was found not guilty.
