Her father’s name was Thomas Muir. Her family came from West Wallsend.

She was born at Kembla Heights. Her father had “the wanderlust bug” following work. Her mother’s sister, Grandma Livingstone.

When Jane was 5 her mother had a miscarriage and died. Her mother’s name was McNamee from Tasmania. She was buried at Wallerawang.

Her father packed up everything and brought Jane to Cessnock to her grandmother’s home and her brother John went to another sister, Mrs Leckie at West Wallsend. (Bill Leckie’s family). His uncle, Mr Leckie was the manager of the Cooperative Store at West Wallsend.
The Livingstone's lived in Cumberland Street. Daisy's mother

John Doyle and his son Joe. Herb Wilkinson’s butcher shop in Cumberland Street. He used to hang up a piece of old meat and it became flyblown and the chooks used to be fed on the maggots that fell off it.
After she married Jane moved into the Manse.
